A business website isn’t an online brochure. It’s the first employee who talks to your customers, around the clock. Here’s the list we check on every project.
The foundation
- Your own domain and email on that domain (not @gmail.com).
- SSL certificate and correctly configured DNS.
- CDN hosting, so the site is fast everywhere.
The experience
- Mobile-first: most visitors arrive on a phone.
- Speed: content in under two seconds, optimised images.
- Accessibility: good contrast, alt text, keyboard navigation.
- Dark mode, for those who prefer it.
Visibility
- Technical SEO: titles, descriptions, XML sitemap, robots.txt.
- AEO: an FAQ page with direct answers.
- GEO: an
llms.txtfile and consistent information everywhere. - OpenGraph images, so links look good when shared.
- Google Business Profile filled in and reviews visible on the site.
Contact
- A form with spam protection.
- Click-to-call and a WhatsApp button on mobile.
- Google Maps if you have a physical location.
Legal and tracking
- Terms and conditions and a privacy policy.
- Cookie consent in line with the GDPR.
- Google Analytics, plus Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel if you run ads.
After launch
- Maintenance and backups.
- Monthly reports on what works and what doesn’t.
- A partner who picks up the phone.
If your site ticks fewer than half of these boxes, it’s time for a conversation.
